Apple's Energy Saver power management software has the capability of reducing energy consumption of UPS devices. CyberPower UPS systems that feature a HID compliant USB port are 100% compatible with Apple's Energy Saver software. Find out how to best configure the OSX UPS manager in the Energy Saver control panel as blow:
- With the computer and the UPS off, connect the USB cable that was included with the unit to an available USB port on the computer.
- Turn the UPS on and start the computer.
- Once the computer has started, open system preferences.
- In system preferences click on Energy Saver.
- Choose Settings for UPS and adjust the runtime settings to your preference
